"Television producers set out to expoit genre convertions... it makes economic sence"
This idea is the idea that producers should play to the strenchs of genre becuase its what the audiance expect whilst watching a a film, music video or tv show. all though this does not bring somthing new and creative it would make an audaice like a certain aspect of a genre therefore apealing to them to watch the film which makes more money in the long term. For exmple in the blanked spaced video by taylor swift her character plays to the strenghs of herself giving her the theme that she has "men wrapped around her finger" which is a steriotype of a woman which can be used to apeal to a certain audiance.
